Ramadan: Forgiveness in the Quran and Sunnah
Allah ﷻ says,
O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed upon you as it was prescribed upon those before you, that you may attain Taqwa.•Fasting is for a limited number of days. Whoever among you is ill or on a journey, then an equal number of other days. For those who can fast with hardship, a ransom of feeding a poor person; but whoever volunteers more, it is better for him. Yet to fast is better for you, if you only knew.•The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was revealed, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.•And when My servants ask you concerning Me — indeed I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.
